Although my eyes were wide and my mind open, I fell apart during the week and caved to the dreaded pizza. During a training course at work, our instructor bought pizza for all. I hadn't prepared my lunch or any snacks and good ol' hunger did me in. I ate two pieces of pizza, which is much less than my normal four slices, and boy did I feel the pain. The bloating and heaviness were back, and I hated it. I hadn't felt this miserable all week, and two slices of pizza and a cup of pepsi was all it took to remind me of how bad the "grains" really were.
Through the pain I realized just how special Paleo can be, and I am ready to begin the journey to a new feeling, a new feeling of relief, energy, and great sleep.
